lafayette street - still flooded

i took one last look over at lafayette street before i got in my car. the water was still pretty high over there. seeing how bad it looked, i felt very lucky, but at the same time very sad. i can only hope that things turn out for the best for the people on lafayette, alma, martin, and rosemont streets. it's clear that it will be a very tough road ahead for many of the families on those streets.

i would urge the citizens of lowell to pitch in a little to help their fellow neighbors. so many gave to the victims of hurricane katrina last year. it would be nice to do the same for the victims of an event that has hit so close to home.
